A Quiet Path
Often the best therapy for an unsettled mind is a solitary walk down a quiet path, which for me is most often somewhere out in the country. Open space, big sky, fresh air, perhaps a stream, and certainly wildlife. This scene reminds me that there are solutions to every challenge. I just have to head out along that path and find them.
They don’t always come to me the first time out. But eventually they ease into my consciousness. It never fails. Nature and solitude do wonders for an unsettled mind. When I’m back on an even keel, with a calm mind and even breath, I am grateful for those always available moments spent walking on a quiet path in the country.
