Green Wave

8x10 Oil

8x10 Oil

A few days ago the weather was sitting on me like a wet blanket. The sky was gray, the clouds were gray, and my state of mind was ... kind of numb. It's interesting how much the weather can boss me around. In any case, I needed light! I needed the beach! So I grabbed my paints and brushes and set out to paint an ocean wave.

This was not easy! But it did cheer me up. I am going to paint more coastal scenes, because I would really like to learn how to capture the ocean, which, after spending the first twenty years of my life in the Hawaiian Islands, is a deep and vast emotional anchor. I love the sea. Actually, I love any place where there is water.

I hope this wave cheers you up, even just a few sun sparkles worth!

Passionate for nature, life, writing and sharing, this site is mutually dedicated to my three favorite vehicles through life - Photography, Writing and Speaking. As professional photographer I was (and still am) in my favored "Observer" mode. As writer, these observations exposed a deeper understanding into ethics, authenticity and leadership. As speaker, I get to be selfish. In giving we gain - big! By helping you to discover your own authenticity, passion and where you too are a leader, I get a huge pang of fulfillment. Yes, I am a giver - the most selfish sort of person that ever was. (that is, once you realize how great the results of giving truly are)
